Affordable and accessible child care is foundational to creating an equitable and inclusive workforce. Louisville's business community must champion early childhood education.
In 2023, the Foundation partnered with the Louisville Youth Group (LYG) to help them fulfill their mission to empower QTBIPoC/LGBTQIA+ youth to grow into healthy and resilient leaders through community connection, life skills education, and social advocacy.
The Louisville Urban League has been a grantee since July 2022, working on expanding equitable access to mental health services through the Community Self-care Program; the League established this program on behalf of A Path Forward.
Black LOVE (B.L.P.P.) was a grantee of the foundation from 2020-2021. Based on BMe Community’s Black L.O.V.E. agenda, the Black L.O.V.E. (Live. Own. Vote. Excel.) Philanthropic Partnership utilizes strategic guidance and leadership of Black leaders and philanthropic partners. The partnership structure provides a collaborative opportunity to pool charitable resources and collective thought leadership to invest in the seven core focus areas recommended by the Black Social Change Funders Network.
Louisville Girls Leadership (LGL) was a grantee of the foundation from 2019-2021. Their programming "creates an immersive experience in which high school girls develop meaningful skills and relationships. As members of an inclusive community, girls amplify their societal impact, becoming exceptional leaders in their world".
The ChangeMakers Conference has been a premiere conference for the nonprofits of the Louisville and Southern Indiana region. In October of 2023, we explored our shared mission of Pursuing Lasting Change as we challenged ourselves to move beyond our divisions and build thriving organizations and communities.
